XNA Game Studio 4.0 Submissions for Xbox LIVE Indie Games

With the unveiling of App Hub and the recently-launched XNA Game Studio Connect Beta for XNA Game Studio 4.0, many developers have asked when  the final version of XNA Game Studio Connect for 4.0 will be available, and when they’ll be able to submit games made using XNA Game Studio 4.0 to the peer review and playtest process.

  • The final version of XNA Game Studio Connect will be released later this fall. Once the final version of XNA Game Studio Connect is released, there will be a 90-day window where you can submit games created with XNA Game Studio 3.1 or games created with XNA Game Studio 4.0.  After that 90-day window is up, you will only be able to submit games created with XNA Game Studio 4.0.
  • If you are starting a new Xbox 360 game project (or you have a project in progress that you do not expect to complete by the end of this year), we recommend that you start the project with XNA Game Studio 4.0 or port your current project to XNA Game Studio 4.0.
  • Stay tuned to the XNA Game Studio Team Blog and the App Hub site for further announcements regarding the exact release date for the final version of XNA Game Studio connect and the start of the 90-day window.
  • At this time, only games created in XNA Game Studio 3.1 can enter the peer review or playtest process. Games made in XNA Game Studio 4.0 will not currently be accepted by the system.
