Videogames publisher Iceberg Interactive and independent publishing company bitComposer are pleased to announce that a publishing agreement has been reached for the dark, classic point-and-click adventure PC game Alter Ego. The territories covered by the deal include UK and Ireland, Scandinavia, Benelux, Greece, Australia/New-Zealand and various other overseas territories.
Iceberg Interactive Retail Sales Director Howard Newmark says: ?Alter Ego fits our portfolio well, since we have successfully published several other dark adventure games before it. The exciting thing for UK gamers is that it is set in 19th-century Plymouth, a proper English setting, with stunning visuals and a macabre and suspenseful story.
?With Iceberg Interactive we have found the ideal partner to distribute our products in UK, Nordic and Benelux, and we?re really looking forward to working with them.? said Wolfgang Duhr, Managing Director of bitComposer Games.
The dark storyline of Alter Ego begins as a strange aristocrat dies and his body goes missing. A series of gruesome murders shake a small town. Rumours of a supernatural monster abound, and this latest atrocity has the entire town shaking in fear. The local police are beside themselves and have made no headway in solving these crimes. Detective Briscol, a man of logic and principle, and Timothy Moor, a petty thief, become unlikely partners in solving the grisly murders.
Alternating between the complete opposite roles of Detective Briscol and Timothy Moor, players will investigate the strange events and gradually reveal a dark secret. After all, when evil has more than one face, you need more than one perspective?
Iceberg?s retail box of Alter Ego is Games for Windows certified, will include yet to be announced exclusive bonus goodies and is scheduled for release on 20 May 2011. Pre-orders are available in the Iceberg Webshop (http://www.iceberg-shop.com/alter-ego.html). Alter Ego had its North-American retail release in July 2010, courtesy of interactive entertainment publisher Viva Media.
