Dutch police shoot Polish suspect who threatened officer with knife at regional airport

AMSTERDAM ? Dutch airport police shot and wounded an assailant who threatened an officer with a knife outside the terminal building at the Eindhoven regional airport Friday, prosecutors said.

The attacker was identified only as a 30-year-old man carrying a Polish passport. He was taken to a hospital where his condition was reported to be not serious.

It appeared from gunshots heard on security camera footage that four or five shots were fired during the incident.
