The designer of PC role-playing game Melolune is hosting a soundtrack sale for her music from Plants vs Zombies. The game's soundtrack album can be downloaded for a reduced price at Laura Shigihara's Bandcamp page through March 27th, with all of the proceeds benefiting relief efforts in Japan, via MercyCorps. Donations will go toward providing food and shelter for quake survivors.
Also announced earlier today, chip music community 8bitpeoples has added a 23-track compilation of Bit Shifter arrangements to their online store. Titled "Reformat: A Tribute To Bit Shifter's Information Chase," the compilation was organized by Michael Lerman back in October. All profits from sales of the CD will go to Japan earthquake and Pacific tsunami relief via the American Red Cross.
Bit Shifter's music is featured on Gaijin Games' soundtracks for Bit.Trip Beat and Bit.Trip Flux, while the Reformat compilation includes arrangements by Coova, litte-scale, Glomag, Random, Bud Melvin, IAYD and Magic Hammer, among other artists.
